Beyond its beautiful beaches and scenic landscapes, a trip to Hawaii offers the opportunity to discover the island’s rich agriculture, vibrant local culture, and fresh, locally grown foods.

One of the best ways to experience the Valley Isle like a local is by visiting Maui farmers' markets, where you’ll find everything from tropical fruits and fresh produce to handmade goods and island specialties. To help you plan your visit, we’ve curated a list of some of our favorite farmers' markets in Maui, located across the island and open throughout the week.

West Maui Farmers Markets

West Maui farmers' markets offer a vibrant mix of locally grown produce, tropical fruits, and handmade island goods, all set against the stunning backdrop of Maui’s western coastline. These markets are a great place to discover fresh local flavors, support Maui farmers and artisans, and experience the island community's welcoming spirit.

Napili Farmers Market

Napili Farmers Market is hands down one of the best farmers' markets in Maui. Located in West Maui, this market occurs on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 AM - 12 PM.

Over the years, this market has really grown. As with all Maui farmers' markets, guests can expect to see a variety of beautiful, locally-grown produce and fruits. At Napili Farmers Market, shoppers can also find many amazing local vendors with Maui-made food products, fresh juices, organic kombucha, bath products, and so much more.

This is a great farmers' market for residents and visitors, with many opportunities to relish all the best West Maui offers (including live Hawaiian music).

Favorite items at Napili Farmers Market include veggies and fruits grown on Maui by Local Harvest, Leaf & Limb kombucha on tap, 100% organic Blue Door Bread, Lahaina Organics reef-safe sunscreen, Aloha Raku Pottery, and Asa's ice-cold coconuts.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 8 AM -12 PM

Location: 4900 HI-30, Lahaina, HI 96761

Olowalu Farmers Market

The Olowalu Farmers Market is another fantastic West Maui marketplace. Located in Olowalu, this roadside market must be noticed as it's conveniently located right off the Honoapiilani Highway. Here, you can stop by for lots of yummy Maui-grown and Maui-made goodies seven days a week.

Olowalu Farmers Market LLC is a Maui family-owned and operated market. They've operated since 2004, only carrying items and products from local Maui farms, vendors, and Maui families. Stopping by Olowalu Farmers Market isn't just fun and convenient; it's a great way to support the Maui community directly.

Pick up some fresh fruit to enjoy in Maui, and shop for Maui- and Hawaiian-made products like fresh raw honey, jams and jellies, dark chocolate, macadamia nuts, and more. They’re happy to assist you in shipping back home an array of delectable Maui goodies (no fruit or bread).

With magnificent views of the West Maui Mountains, take a picnic table in the shade of an enormous 200-year-old tree and treat yourself to something from local food trucks serving up traditional Hawaiian favorites like Poke and Loco Moco, along with Wagyu Smash Burgers, Fish Tacos, Pizza, Espresso, and Smoothies.

Don’t miss the amazing butterfly farm tour! Hold a hibiscus flower and watch as butterflies come right to you to enjoy the sweet flower nectar, and witness them from egg, to caterpillar, to pupa, to glorious winged butterflies!  Something special for the whole family.

One thing is for certain: Kumu Farms grows some of the tastiest and most beautiful organic produce in Hawaii. Their country store in Waikapu is a real farm direct-to-consumer experience with a variety of freshly harvested produce to purchase, like kale, lettuce, eggplant, corn, bananas, carrots, fennel, and herbs.

Those who like to plan ahead can visit their website to order farm-fresh market boxes.
