All About Hyatt Residence Club Ka'anapali
Majestically nestled in the heart of West Maui’s famous Kaʻanapali Beach sits the Hyatt Residence Club Maui. Ka’anapali’s newest luxury resort sets a new standard for upscale accommodations on Kaʻanapali Beach and delivers a lavish vacation experience that is truly second to none. Surrounded by 40 acres of meticulously manicured grounds, guests are treated to the best of the best at this world-class tropical resort paradise.
As of 2017, these residences are currently still being offered for fractional ownership in 1-week increments, but for those who prefer to rent, Maui Resort Rentals has forged relationships with Hyatt owners throughout the years that have allowed us to become Maui’s leading source for private Hyatt Residence Club Maui rentals.
Ka’anapali Beach’s newest resort offers 131 elegantly appointed luxury residences. The building is 12 stories at its highest part and sits between the Hyatt Regency Resort and The Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club’s recently built Lahaina Tower. All residences are appointed with quality finishes throughout, including Caesarstone countertops, custom wood cabinetry, mosaic glass tile accents, and Kohler fixtures. The full gourmet kitchens feature Bosch appliances, Henckels cutlery, Riedel stemware, and all the necessary dinnerware and cookware.
All residences feature retractable glass doors to seamlessly blend the luxurious interior with the refreshing Maui air. Generous lanais offer comfortable lounge furniture, a table for four, and a daybed for private outdoor relaxation. Handcrafted dining room tables, widescreen HD televisions with Blu-ray players, and Wi-Fi throughout further enhance the experience.
The one-bedrooms at The Hyatt are roughly 890 sq ft and are located in two separate columns in the building, both of which are at the southern end of the building – the part that is closest to The Hyatt Regency Hotel. One column of one-bedroom residences directly faces the ocean, and these go from the ground floor to the 10th floor. Owners and guests have the option of choosing between “lower floor” residences and “upper floor” residences. Floors 1-4 are considered lower floors, and floors 5-10 are considered upper floors. In other words, when a guest reserves a lower-floor residence, they will be guaranteed to stay on floors 1-4.
The majority of the property is comprised of two-bedroom oceanfront residences. There are 99 in total, and they are all roughly 1180 sq ft with nearly identical floor plans and furnishings. The one exception is that there is one column of two-bedrooms at the slight “bend” in the building, and this column of two-bedrooms is known as “the nook” or “the elbow.” All two-bedroom columns start from the ground floor up to the 12th floor, which is the highest floor in the building.
The two-bedrooms are separated into “lower,” “middle,” and “upper” floor residences. The lower floor residences are on floors 1-4. The middle floor residences are on floors 5-8. The upper floor residences are on floors 9-12. In general, the higher the floor, the more expansive the view, but because all two-bedroom residences directly face the ocean, guests are treated to some of the premier views on all of Kaʻanapali Beach. The views from the upper-floor two-bedroom residences are what dreams are made of. The primary bedroom sleeps two with a king-size bed. There is additional sleeping for three in the guest bedroom with a queen-size bed and a twin-size pullout loveseat. Two additional guests can sleep on the queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room, bringing the sleeping capacity to seven. It should be noted that the Hyatt Residence Club does not permit rollaways in the residences.
The three-bedrooms at The Hyatt Residence Club are in a league of their own. In the few short years that the resort has welcomed guests, the Hyatt three-bedroom residences have developed an elite reputation among the most discerning visitors to Maui. The Hyatt's three-bedroom residences number only 12 in total, and they are among a very limited number of three-bedrooms available on all of Ka’anapali Beach.
All three-bedrooms at the Hyatt directly face the ocean. They make up the northernmost (closest to the Marriott’s Lahaina Tower) column of units at The Hyatt Residence Club. Because of the way the building angles towards the ocean, the three-bedrooms at the Hyatt are also the closest residences at the Hyatt Residence Club to the ocean. They are split into “lower floors” and “upper floors.” The lower floor three-bedrooms are on floors 1-4, and the upper floor three-bedrooms are on floors 5-12. The views from the higher floor three bedrooms at The Hyatt Residence Club are nothing less than stunning.
Each three-bedroom is roughly 2100 sq ft and features sleeping capacity for 11 guests. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, the first guest bedroom has a king-size bed and a twin-size love seat pullout, and the second guest bedroom has two full-size beds. Additionally, there is a queen-size convertible sofa sleeper in the living room.
Primary bedrooms all feature Hyatt’s signature king-size Grand Bed with Hyatt’s sumptuous Grand Bedding. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors in the two and three-bedroom primary bedrooms invite in the impressive views. Indulge in the opulence of your en-suite primary bathroom. All primary baths feature elegant free-standing vessel tubs, glass walk-in showers, double vanities, and Hyatt’s plush spa bath towels.
The club itself offers several popular amenities, including a main pool area, an infinity-edge relaxation pool, and a zero-entry children’s pool. If you wish to relax by the pool or in one of the beachfront cabanas for rent, The Pau Huakai Tiki Bar offers great views and delivers poolside food and drinks. In the lobby is The Lahaina Provision Company. This gourmet deli serves up locally inspired meals, casual snacks, and quick, healthy bites to eat. The Residence Club also has its own state-of-the-art fitness center.
An additional benefit of staying at The Hyatt Residence Club is that guests have access to the fantastic resort amenities of The Hyatt Regency Hotel right next door. The Hyatt Hotel is home to one of Maui’s premier pool experiences, complete with waterfalls, a waterslide, a sand-bottom children’s area, and even Maui’s only rope bridge.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel provides guests of the residence club with four excellent dining choices right next door. Japengo is The Hyatt’s popular, award-winning sushi restaurant. Among other accolades, it was recently voted Maui’s Best Asian Cuisine at the 2016 ‘Aipono Maui Restaurant Awards. Sonz Steakhouse is another award-winning dining option at The Hyatt Regency Hotel. The popular restaurant occupies an elegant location in the Hyatt’s well-known “swan court.” Umalu is The Hyatt’s casual poolside bar and grill. Guests can sit back and enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner, or sip on a refreshing cocktail and enjoy appetizers by the pool until midnight.
The Hyatt Residence Club’s convenient location on the Ka’anapali Beach boardwalk means that additional shops, restaurants, and activities are within a short walk away.
For guests looking for the total resort package of luxurious accommodations, convenient location, and world-class resort amenities, The Hyatt Residence Club on Ka’anapali Beach is truly in a league of its own.
