When visiting the Island of Maui, there are so many incredible sites to see and places to explore. A vacation in Hawaii includes many rare experiences, including learning about the vegetation, locally grown foods, and diverse community.

One of the best ways to explore the Valley Isle is by visiting local farmers' markets. We've carefully curated a list of our favorite Maui farmer's markets for our readers to explore and enjoy. Find farmer's markets on all corners of the island and throughout the week.

Napili Farmers Market

Napili Farmers Market is hands down one of the best farmer's markets in Maui. Located in West Maui, this market occurs on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 am-noon.

Over the years, this market has really grown. As with all Maui farmer's markets, guests can expect to see a variety of beautiful, locally-grown produce and fruits. At Napili Market, shoppers can also find many amazing local vendors with Maui- made food products, fresh juices, organic kombucha, bath products, and so much more.

This is a great farmers market for residents and visitors, with many opportunities to relish all the best West Maui offers (including live Hawaiian music).

Favorite items that are found at Napili Farmers Market include veggies and fruits grown on Maui by Local Harvest, Leaf & Limb kombucha on tap, 100% organic Blue Door Bread, Lahaina Organics reef-safe sunscreen, Aloha Raku Pottery, and Asa's ice-cold coconuts.

West Maui's Farmers Market Maui

West Maui's Farmers Market Maui is located in Honokowai and takes place Monday to Saturday, 7 am-4 pm.

For over 46 years, West Maui's Farmers Market has offered the local community and visitors the wonderful chance to stop by their brick-and-mortar market throughout the week.

Maui's Farmers Market is a natural foods store well-stocked with organic produce, packaged foods, baked goods, and a hot and cold deli. We love this spot for many reasons, including the apparent advantage of the location. It's a perfect spot to collect all you need for a Maui beach lunch or snack when headed to or from North West Maui beaches and hiking trails.

At this indoor market, there are many secret gems to be found. Our favorite items are their smoothies, acai bowls, wraps, and sandwiches. When visiting this West Maui locale, you can also call to order pickup! Check out their West Maui menu online.

(Farmer's Market Maui also has a South Maui location. West Maui is an indoor market, and South Maui is an outdoor market.)

Hours: Mon-Sat 7am-4pm, Closed Sun

Location: 3636 Lower Honoapiilani Rd, Lahaina, HI 96761

Olowalu Farmers Market

The Olowalu Farmers Market is another fantastic West Maui marketplace. Located in Olowalu, this roadside market must be noticed as it's conveniently located right off the Honoapiilani Highway. Here, you can stop by for lots of yummy Maui-grown and Maui-made goodies 7-days a week.

Olowalu Farmers Market LLC is a Maui-family-owned and operated market. They've operated since 2004, only carrying items and products from local Maui farms, vendors, and Maui families. Stopping by Olowalu Farmers Market isn't just fun and convenient– it's a great way to support the Maui community directly.

Pending the season, keep your eyes peeled for their delicious papaya, lilikoi (passionfruit), mango, or dragonfruit varieties. Of course, throughout the year, you'll also find a variety of local bananas, citrus, pineapple, avocado, and sugarcane.

Besides tasty tropical fruits and veggies, this market offers fresh coconuts, fresh-cut Hawaiian flowers, and delicious locally produced food products like local honey and hot sauce. Another notable point is that Hawaiian flowers and fruit seeds can be found at this Olowalu road stop.

Kō Mahi'ai Mākeke: Kihei South Maui Ohana Farmers Market

Kō Mahi'ai Mākeke is a beautiful farmers market in Kihei. It only takes place on Saturday, so plan ahead to stop by.

There are many reasons to love this South Maui market, but first and foremost, it's a real community event. There's live music, activities for the kids, and more to join in on. Here's a great place to check out the local community and understand what 'ohana means while living in Maui.

Typically, live music starts early, so if you want to jam out to Hawaiian tunes with a cup of Joe, here's a great spot. Of course, shoppers can find an array of locally grown fruits and veggies, but they can also find many great handmade items like crafts, candles, accessories, home goods, beach clothes, and more. During the holiday season, guests can also find an array of handmade Christmas crafts and decorations.

You shouldn't miss the tasty baked goods and plate lunches when visiting Kō Mahi'ai Mākeke. They are so ono (delicious). Enjoy!

Kumu Farms Country Market

Kumu Farms Country Market is located in Waikapu, Central Maui. It's open throughout the week but closed on Mondays.

It's important to know that Kumu Farms is also one of the most recognized organic farms in Maui County. Although their market is in Waikapu, their farm is on the outer island of Molokai. Please keep your eyes peeled while dining at Maui's top restaurants, as it's a popularly listed local farm on various prestigious restaurant menus.

One thing is for sure, Kumu Farms grows some of the tastiest and most beautiful organic produce in Hawaii. Their country store in Waikapu is a real farm direct-to-consumer experience with a variety of freshly harvested produce to purchase, like kale, lettuces, eggplant, corn, bananas, carrots, fennel, and herbs.

Those who like to plan ahead can visit their website to order farm-fresh market boxes. This is an excellent idea for residents and visitors as the market boxes can be picked up at any frequency at their Waikapu store. This makes it easy for Maui visitors to stop by the country store after arrival so that they can stock their vacation rental kitchens with yummy and healthy Maui-grown produce and coffee.

Try a lunch plate from Pakamon's Thai Food, Satori Maui Sushi, or Road Dog's Hot Dogs if you want a snack. If you're seeking a perfect gift for a loved one, check out an array of crystals, locally made jewelry, and items from some of Maui's 'spiritual' vendors.

Favorite vendors and items at the Upcountry Farmers Market include Aloha Honua plants and shrubs, Maui Raw's nut cheeses and spreads, Maui Jun Kombucha, Maui Bees local honey, Uma Star Anise's Indian food (the samosas are to die for), Jamie's locally caught fish, and Coconut Willie's fresh coconuts.
